Marianna is from Brazil and is majoring in International Relations and minoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. She is currently an Intercultural Aide (ICA) with the MRULE-ICA program and was able to get involved with the Student Sustainability Leadership Council (SSLC) in which they discuss ideas and collaborate with other members to develop sustainability-focused projects, and events. With SSLC, Marriana was able to participate in a project to implement reusable containers on campus dining halls. Marianna has recently joined the Latino Leaders in Policy (LLIP) and the Student Food Security Council (SFSC) as a participant this semester. Marriana's is interested in sustainability, social justice, sustainable economic development, foreign policy, as well as learning new languages.
