Fall Forum 2025
The Circular Economy Fall Forum, hosted by the MSU Circular Economy Network, convened students, faculty, and industry leaders to discuss the advancement of waste reduction and circular business practices in Michigan. Held on October 29, 2025, at the MSU Union Building, the forum created space for cross-sector dialogue on policy, innovation, and implementation challenges related to circularity.
Panel discussions included an update on Michigan Senate Bill 201 and perspectives from representatives of Steelcase, Liink Technologies, and the Hendricks Foundation. Panelists shared insights on how organizations are navigating sustainability goals, scaling circular solutions, and balancing environmental impact with operational realities.
The event emphasized collaboration between industry and the MSU community, amplified real-world perspectives on circular economy practices, and encouraged students and scholars to pursue research and careers that support Michigan’s transition to a more circular economy.
