Graduation: Caps thrown into the air

As another academic year draws to a close, MSU CCED would like to recognize our graduating seniors. We thank them for their many contributions to CCED, and sincerely wish them the best in all their endeavours.

Madison Amalfitano
Madison graduated with a B.A. in Media and Information and minors in graphic design, film studies, and documentary production. Madison is a Video Producer at CCED, where she works to showcase REI findings designed to improve communities. She is using the producing and video experience gained at CCED to begin a video production internship at an advertising agency in Chicago this June.

Morgan Birman
Morgan graduated with a B.A. in Media and Information: Film and Television. Having completed her degree in three years, Morgan has worked at REI as the head designer, creating the 2016 Summit program and promotional material, also working her way over to the video team where she's helped edit and produce content for CCED. Throughout her time at Michigan State she's dabbled into multiple aspects of video production, working with MSU telecasters and even working on feature length films in the camera department. Morgan hopes to move to either DC or LA upon graduation to pursue a career in the film or television industry.

Tyler DeBranbander
Tyler graduated with a B.A. in Economics, specializing in data analysis. He has been involved with a number of duties and projects during his time with CCED, including accessibility support, project management, the video team and REI. He is currently pursuing a career in the sports management/sports business field.

Adriana Flores
In 2015, Adriana graduated with a Bachelor's of Social Work (BSW) degree and a diversity certificate from Michigan State University. This May, Adriana graduated with a Master's of Social Work (MSW) and a concentration in Organizational Community Leadership. She has worked on an independent community project, and will defend the project portfolio for the community engagement certificate through the University Outreach and Engagement this summer. While a Masters student, Adriana worked for the Bachelor's of Social Work program as the Undergraduate Student Assistant, Diversity Project Advisor, Pre-Social Work Peer Advisor, Teacher Assistant for the Social Work 200 course, and interned with the Center for Community and Economic Development.

Hafsa Khan
Hafsa graduated with a B.A. in Social Relations and Policy from James Madison College and and a Business Cognate. Her professional and career interests are centered on urban planning and development, and urban social policy. Hafsa hopes to secure a job for the City of Detroit, helping to create sustainable, long-term, social progress. Over the summer, she will be interning for a City of Detroit agency through the MSU Study Away program in the College of Social Sciences.

Jacob Leppek
Jacob graduated with a B.A, triple majoring in International Relations, Economics, and Arabic. At CCED, Jacob worked on REI concerning Co-Learning Projects, as well as operating social media outreach and creating accessible website materials. Jacob will be working on international research and outreach concerning the Middle East and North Africa region.
