Transitioning Michigan to a Circular Economy
On October 1, 2025, Rex LaMore, Ph.D., director of the Michigan State University, Center for Community and Economic Development , provided expert testimony alongside Samantha Truesdell, sustainability director at Whirlpool, before the Michigan House of Representatives, Natural Resources and Tourism Committee on “Transitioning Michigan to a Circular Economy”. They advocated for circular economics, which aims to keep materials and products in circulation for as long as possible.
